Rows of satin stitch where the top of each new stitch slips down between two stitches of the row above, softening the step from one row to the next. Work it in 17 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

- Come up a little below the top line and go down on it. Work the whole row side by side, the stitches touching, the same length.Виведіть голку трохи нижче верхньої лінії й уведіть на ній. Вишийте весь ряд, стібки поруч, упритул, однакової довжини.
- Change to the next shade if you are shading. Each stitch of the second row comes up below the first row and goes down a short way into it, between two of its stitches, not through them. Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки
- Piercing the stitches above. That is long and short stitch; here the needle slides between them so that the rows stay crisp.Голка проколює стібки вище. Це вже художня гладь; тут голка йде між ними, щоб ряди лишалися чіткими.
