How to do double herringbone stitchЯк вишивати подвійну ялинку
A second row of herringbone sitting in the gaps of an open first row and weaving with it, so that the two make a chain of diamonds. Work it in 8 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.
Другий ряд ялинки в проміжках відкритого першого ряду, що переплітається з ним, і вдвох вони утворюють ланцюжок ромбів. Усього 8 стібків: виводьте голку на лицевий бік у непарному номері й уводьте в наступному парному.

- Stitch a row of herringbone with wide spaces: a second row has to fit between its legs.Вишийте доволі відкритий ряд ялинки, лишаючи між стібками місце для другого.
- Change colour. Start a mirror image of the first row, here coming up on the upper line. This stitch runs down to the right and crosses over the rising stitch of the first row.Візьміть другий колір. - The next one rises to the right. Before the needle goes down at the top, slide it under the falling stitch of the first row, leading with the eye of the needle so as not to catch it. - Laying the second row straight on top. It looks almost right, but nothing holds the crossings, and it cannot be interlaced later.Другий ряд просто покладено зверху. Виглядає майже правильно, але перехрестя нічим не тримаються, і згодом його не переплетеш.
- A first row too closed: no room for the second, and the diamonds collapse into a lump.Перший ряд занадто щільний: другому немає місця, і ромби злипаються в грудку.
