How to do a French knotЯк вишивати французький вузлик

Bring the thread up where the knot will sit, wrap it twice around the needle under even tension, then take the needle down right beside it — not into the same hole — so the wraps tighten into a small raised bead. A small raised dot of wrapped thread — eyes, flower centres, texture.

Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки

  • One or two wraps. For a bigger knot use more strands, not more wraps.Один-два обороти. Для більшого вузлика беріть більше ниток, а не більше обертів.
  • Keep the wraps snug on the needle with your other hand until the needle is through.Притримуйте обороти на голці вільною рукою, доки голка не пройде крізь тканину.
