How to do a twisted ribbon stitchЯк вишивати кручений стрічковий стібок
Ribbon twisted on itself like a cord before going down, so that it makes a thin raised line with a natural curve. Work it in 3 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

- Bring the ribbon to the front and turn the needle in your fingers, so that the ribbon twists on itself and looks like a thin cord.Виведіть стрічку на лице й покрутіть голку в пальцях, щоб стрічка скрутилася, наче тонкий шнурок.
- Go down at the end of the stitch, without letting the twist slacken. The twist will make the stitch bend naturally, as a stem does. If it should hold a set curve, tack it down with tiny stitches in a matching sewing thread.Уведіть голку в кінці стібка, не даючи скрутці послабшати. Вона сама вигне стібок, як стебло. Якщо потрібен сталий вигин, прихопіть його крихітними стібками швейної нитки в тон.

Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки
- Twisting so much that it kinks and doubles back. Stop when it looks like a smooth cord.Занадто сильна скрутка, що ламається й згинається назад. Зупиніться, коли вона виглядає як гладкий шнурок.
