A column of parallel slanted stitches, each started level with the end of the one before, so the back shows short straight rungs. Work it in 5 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

Sewing two pieces of cloth together and fixing a small appliqué, or as a plain surface line. Threaded with beads or sequins it closes up into a rope.

- Work from the bottom upward. Come up at the lower left of the line and go down at a slant, up and to the right.Працюйте знизу вгору. Виведіть голку ліворуч унизу лінії й уведіть навскіс, угору праворуч.
- Come up straight across from where you went down, on the left, and make the same slant again. Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки
